Play On! is a comedy featuring seven women and three men of various ages from teens to seniors. It has been a community theater staple since its publication in 1980, and this is the first time it has been produced by one of the theaters on the Twin Harbors. It is the hilarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script. Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance in which anything that can go wrong does.
Auditions take place Tuesday, January 6th and Wednesday, January 7th at 6:30 pm. at the Hannan Playhouse located at 8th Street in Raymond. Perusal copies of the script can be checked out at the front desk of the Raymond Timberland Library.
The show will have a Champagne Opening on Saturday, March 14th, with other performances on Friday, March 20th, Saturday, March 21st, Sunday, March 22nd, Friday, March 27th, and Saturday, March 28th. Curtain time for all performances is 7:30 with the exception of the Sunday performance, which is a 2 o'clock matinee.
