The Winlock High School was faced with a bomb threat this week.
The Winlock High School had a few bomb threats last year and this year seems to have started off with the same problem. What many don't seem to realize is, there are consequences for these types of actions.
The Revised Codes of Washington (RCWs) are very clear, it is a felony to use the threat of a bomb.
It's that time of year and the election season is upon us. Two of our cities are having "Meet the Candidates." Winlock and Vader will both have an event to introduce your candidates.
Winlock is having their Meet the Candidates on October 8 at the Firehouse Restaurant located at 408 NE 1st Street starting at 6:30 p.m. and lasting until 7:30 p.m. The event is being organized by former City Council member Holy Orbino.
The Washington Department of Ecology is hosting two public workshops and hearing on the draft permit for removing noxious weeds from Willapa Bay commercial clam beds. The workshop and hearings will give the public the opportunity to learn more about the permit and ask questions. Formal oral testimony and submitted written comments on the draft permit will be given the same consideration.
The celebration of 50 years of tradition will take place on October 5 with the 50th Annual Oktoberfest hosted by the Lewis Pacific Swiss Society at the Swiss Park located at 19 Swiss Picknik Road in Frances
