Unsung Heroes: 911 behind the scenes

Behind the scenes of every 911 call are the 911 Operators that make every emergency response possible and get help to residents in their most desperate and helpless time of need.

"We couldn't function without them," Sheriff Scott Johnson said. "They're a very important part of the wheel up here. And we're very lucky to keep them here locally. PacCom has twelve 911 Operators who work varying shifts, but every minute of everyday the call center is staffed. They're determined to do everything they can to get you help. They come from varying backgrounds with one leaving nursing to become a operator to others who have worked there for over 10 years.
