Enter a team of researchers from Harvard Universities Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. They have developed an elastic fabric-based sensor that detects and transmits data on a very wide range of human movements. These sensors might just be incorporated into future generations of smart apparel, essentially turning your clothing into a computer.

Pastor of Winlock Methodist Church, Susan Griggs, has been in Winlock for a year. She has become involved in the city and with its residents. She has helped the school district and would like to see the Spanish-speaking citizens become more involved in the community.

Recently the City of Winlock Park Board negotiated use of the Winolequa Park with Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF) railroad for a temporary easement for use of the Park during construction. BNSF will pay the City of Winlock $75,000 prior to occupying the site as compensation for use of the park during the construction of the Olequa Bridge.

Threshing Bee in Toledo took place this past weekend and it was a packed house or should I say packed fields. They started Friday evening with the parade and things continued into Saturday and Sunday. It was a beautiful weekend and the event went on without a hitch.
