The Bogwater Brewery and Cranberry Road Winery were found to be engulfed in flames on the evening of Tuesday, November 24. The fire cleared the inside of the building out, and caused considerable damage to the structure of the building. By the time the Grays Harbor Emergency Dispatch was notified at around 6pm, the building was already up in flames.

South Bend School District voters will soon have the opportunity to vote on a new four- year replacement school levy. These dollars are used to pay for excess costs that the state does not fully support including special education, technology, curriculum, food services, student extra-curricular opportunities and building maintenance needs.
Willapa Valley roared by Pe Ell 46-34 at the Jack Q. Pearson Holiday Classic December 30. Alicia Smaciarz poured in 26 points to lead the victory. The Vikings won the game in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Lady Trojans 13-5.
South Bend opened with a win at the Jack Q. Pearson Holiday Classic tournament by downing Pe Ell 45-41 December 29 at Menlo. The Lady Indians came back from a six-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

The Washington Association of School Principals has recognized Raymond School Principal Dave Vetter as a nominee for the Washington State "Middle Level Principal of the Year" for 2015/2016. The award recipient will be announced in March.

The Willapa Harbor Chamber of Commerce will again be honoring a Person of the Year, Business of the Year and Citizen of the Year at our 2015 Awards Banquet scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2016.
The final reading was taken at the City of Raymond's Water Department at 9pm on New Year's Eve. The total amount of rain for 2015 was 83.01 inches and the December total was 19.09 inches.
