The cause of the fire at the Cranberry Road Winery remains a mystery as investigations are still on-going and won't be complete until at least mid-December, according to the Westport Fire Department.

The Everybody's Supermarkets in both Elma and Raymond has changed ownership over to Pam Garcia and Matt Marcott as of Wednesday December 2. Marcott and Garcia are siblings, and have been working together since 1987.

The Grays Harbor College Human Services program has come to their deadline for the toy drive on November 29, and now are slated to distribute the toys after a process is carried out on December 11. The process involves the parents of the 310 children that have been registered to receive gifts going to pick out the gifts that have been donated.

Following the girl's name from earlier in the night, the Winlock boys began their basketball season in a game against Northwest Christian.

For the start of the Winlock High School basketball season the Winlock girl's team started their season in the cold night of December 1st. For the first game of the season the Winlock girls were to be facing Northwest Christian School.

The Pacific County PUD met Tuesday, December 1 for their regular monthly meeting, with one commissioner, Diana Thompson, attending by telephone. The PUD commissioners started their meeting by approving the minutes of the previous meeting of November 17.

The State Fire Marshal's Office would like to remind residents to be fire safe with their holiday decorations this season, especially Christmas trees. If your household includes a natural tree in its festivities, keep the tree well-watered. Improper care and decoration of a live or artificial tree can lead to catastrophic fires. The North Pacific County Shop With a Cop is going to be held on Saturday, December 12 where 20 kids selected from Raymond, South Bend, Valley and Shoalwater Bay will get the pleasure of getting a ride from a cop to the Elks in Raymond, where they will be served breakfast before going to Dennis Company.

Ocean Park - Early this morning at around 12:50 AM, the Pacific County Communications Center received a report of a residential burglary alarm that had been activated at a residence located in the 18900 block of Sandridge Road. Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the scene and arrived shortly after the report.

Randy's Fitness in downtown Raymond next to the theater has changed ownership. The new business will be called Henneman's Gym, and is owned by Greg and Zak Henneman. The new guys have redone the weight room with a new floor, and offer internet and TV as well. The price for a month of use is $45, and $40 for seniors and any student will pay $35 for a month. The membership comes with a key to the gym, which is accessible 24 hours a day, and there will be an owner there Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm.

Carl Eugene (Gene) Loftis passed away on December 3, 2015 at his home in Woodland with loving family by his side.

Rodney Foster Denney, Jr. passed away on November 29, 2015 at the young age of 21.

Jayden's German Store in South Bend is located at the forefront of downtown South Bend if you're on 101 heading south from Raymond. Joelle Springer is the one in charge but also works with her son Jayden who is twelve years old. Springer has run the store for the last 8 years.

South Bend's Karley Reidinger and Edith Razo turned in double-doubles to help upend rival Willapa Valley 54-44 Saturday night at Koplitz Field House in South Bend. Alicia Smaciarz scored 20 points and made 3 steals for Valley.

Once a month, the primary grades at Willapa Valley Elementary host a Cooperative Learning Day. The kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades mix their students into small groups for an afternoon full of learning and fun.

After test results showed the crab are again safe to eat State shellfish managers reopened the recreational crab fishery inside Willapa Bay Friday.

George Crow of Raymond HS was the sole champion for the Willapa Harbor Tri-District Wrestling Team (which this season consists of wrestlers from Raymond and South Bend high schools) at 220 pounds, winning by fall in 2:28 at the Ocosta Wrestling Invitational. Willapa Harbor captured the team title with 197 points over the host Wildcats (170) and nine other teams.
