Mark A. Busbey, 33, of Raymond was arrested for burglary in the second degree, 4 counts of possession of methamphetamine and an outstanding warrant. Busbey told law enforcement that he sold the stolen items to help support his methamphetamine habit.

Christmas is a difficult time for anyone grieving for a lost loved one. It is especially painful for America's military families whose son, daughter, spouse or parent was killed in action this year.

It would not be a Raymond winter sports season if the boys could not outdo the girls. Just after the Lady Seagulls had defeated the Willapa Valley Vikings at the buzzer, the Raymond "Lord's" of the hardwood had to make it just a little bit more dramatic taking their game into overtime against the Mountaineers of Rainier.
The Pacific County Senior Center is located at 324 Jackson Street in Raymond. Meals are served at 11:45 for those 60 and over for a suggested donation of $4. This week's menu includes:

Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Meredith have as their Christmas guests Mrs. W. Payne of Spring Valley, and Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Drinkall, the latter being a sister of Mrs. Meredith. Mr. and Mrs. Payne expect to go to California after the holidays to visit another daughter.
