Ryderwood News 07.24.13

As the month of July enters its final week, yards and green spaces are looking less green and lush without additional watering. Yep, we live nine months in a rain forest and three months in a desert. And the weather has been absolutely divine! I started to talk to vendors about adding AC to our house, but haven’t needed it since those few hottest days. Winlock News 07.24.13

I’d like to start out with an apology. While I try not to make mistakes, I’m too absent-minded not to do so. Last week, I gave a reminder about the Winlock Historical Museum’s schedule of noon to 4:30 p.m. without mentioning that this only occurs on Wednesdays. Sorry about that, guys. If you have any further questions, please call Ken Vogel at (360) 785-0567 or Paul Foster at (360) 785-3935.

The Olequa Senior Center will be expanding their pinochle classes, and are now starting up several card groups (cribbage is included)! On Tuesdays, from this moment on, lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The games are scheduled to follow immediately. They ask that you call (360) 785-4325 or drop by the center to make reservations. Lunch costs $4, and there is a suggested donation of $1 to play cards.
