Washington Missing Out on Tourist Dollars

When we moved from Montana to Olympia 35 years ago, we saw enticing television and magazine ads for our neighboring states, but none for Washington. Fast forward to 2013 and nothing has changed. It was puzzling then, but even more perplexing today, considering the money and jobs at stake.

Tourism in our state is no small potatoes, it is big business. Visitors spent $16.4 billion in 2011

The boys had six event winners, led by Rayce Newman's sprint double in the 100 and 200. Rayce also anchored the victorious and school record breaking 4 by 100 relay team along with Ally Phansisay, Carte Bisbee, and Alex Sida.

Sheriff’s Office promoting, rewarding safe riding habits

The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that it is working together with the Safe Kids Coalitions of Washington State and the Washington State McDonald’s Owner’s Association to reward the children in and around the community for “safe riding habits” including wearing a helmet when riding a bicycle.
