Anna Ervin
Anna Ervin, 98 of Snohomish, Wash. took the hand of Jesus on March 29th 2013. She was born November 23rd 1914 in Raymond, daughter of Alex and Mary Gritneas and lived in Raymond for several years before moving to Snohomish. She married George Ervin on May 2, 1936 in Raymond.

Doris I. Hendrickson, 88, former Menlo resident, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Franciscan Hospice House in Tacoma.  She was born December 4, 1924 in Menlo to Trevor Adrian and Gladys Elizabeth (Butz) Bullard.

Lady Vikes, Seagulls win at Naselle

Willapa Valley’s girls won the 11-team Comette Invitational at Naselle and the Raymond Seagulls blew past the field in the boys’ 10-team Comet invitational last Thursday at Naselle. The Lady Vikings scored 106 ½ points to nose past South Bend by 1½ points; the Lady Seagulls were fourth with 96 points. The Gulls scored 138 ½ points to win easily; Valley was second (86) and South Bend placed fourth at 60.
