2013 Candidate Filings

Several city government positions within South Lewis and North Cowlitz Counties are up for election this year, and there has been an ample turnout of candidates after filing close May 17.

Below is a list of the positions that are open as well as those running. Additional candidate information, as well as positions for School Districts and Fire Districts, are available at https://wei.sos.wa.gov/county/lewis for Lewis County and https://wei.sos.wa.gov/county/cowlitz for Cowlitz County.

Winlock

Running for Mayor are Denise Green, Lonnie Dowell, and Don Bradshaw.

Running for City Council Position 4 are Dennis Korpi (incumbent) and Sam Patrick.

Running for City Council Position 5 are Aaron Mummert and Glen Cook.

Toledo

Running for City Council Position 1 are Guy Spratt (incumbent) and James Fluckinger.

Running for City Council Position 2 are Steve Dobosh (incumbent) and Eric Duerst.

Running for City Council Position 5 are Mike Thomas (incumbent) and Richard Kindle.

Vader

Running for City Council Position 1 are Andy Wilson (incumbent) and Hallie Sword.

Running for City Council Position 2 is Linda Newton (incumbent).

Running for City Council Position 3 are Rodney Allison (incumbent) and Joe Schey.

Castle Rock

Running for City Council Position 1 are Ray Teter (incumbent) and Justin Stennick.

Running for City Council Position 2 is Leon Kessler.

Positions with three or more individuals running will be reduced to two candidates during the Primary Election, for which voting begins July 19 and ends Aug. 6. All positions will be decided during the General Election, for which voting begins Oct. 18 and ends Nov. 5.
