Teen Advocacy Coalition (TAC) and Pioneer Grocery are sponsoring the 11th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, being held Saturday, April 30, 2016, drop off between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at Pioneer Grocery, located at W 1st and Willapa, South Bend, WA. With support from the Drug Enforcement Administration and local law enforcement, TAC will be staffing the drop location, collecting all unwanted & expired medications. Take a look in your cabinets to see if you have anything that could be a risk to you and your family. We want to keep these materials out of the reach of children and teenagers, encouraging the responsible discarding of these substances.
Last year, TAC collected over ten pounds of expired, unused prescription and over-the-counter medications. This year TAC would like to collect two times that amount to keep these substances away from younger groups. Please take a moment to stop by and say hello to our TAC Board Members, the Pacific County Sheriff's team, and other local community supporters. You may sign up to learn more about what TAC does in our communities, get a medication lock box (for families with children under 3), share ideas about what other opportunities there are to promote a drug free community, or just drop and go. All drop-offs are anonymous and will be made without judgment.
Please stop by and introduce yourself! TAC provides opportunities for local youth to remain drug free for a healthy and positive childhood. If we miss you, a permanent drop-box has been placed at the Pacific County Sheriff's Office 300 Memorial Dr., South Bend, WA.
