Investigators are seeking information relating to the theft of a Ford pickup from the Toledo area May 14, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

The 2001 pickup, valued at $12,000, is believed to have been taken by a 22-year-old domestic helper while her 39-year-old employer was away. When the victim returned to his house on the 100 block of Meier Rd. E., north of Toledo, he found the vehicle missing, as well as a number of chickens left roaming inside his house.

He told investigators he had met the suspect through Craigslist May 10 and it was arranged she would cook, clean and do paperwork. Further information regarding the suspect’s identity, as well as how and why the chickens were left behind, has not been released by investigators.
