Thanksgiving was a wonderful day, I started making pies early in the morning. Why is it that it takes all day to cook and 1/2 hour to eat it all up...then of course we were stuffed like the bird!
It's definitely Christmas time and we had a small dusting of snow over the weekend. I would like more snow but not enough to cause too many problems. As a kid we always wanted it to snow enough to cancel school, we would worry about making up the days missed later, we just wanted to play in the snow.
Don't forget that the Santa Shop is open at Winlock Miller Elementary School to Dec. 5 with Santa coming on Dec. 6 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., picture packages are available and prices vary.
The Lionesses have tags available on their giving Christmas Tree. When you go downtown, stop by the IGA and grab a tag to help the local kids.
Hope Grange will be having their Joyous Christmas Music even on Dec. 13 from 6 -9:30 p.m. Santa will arrive at 7 p.m. Hope Grange is located at 120 Antrim Rd. Enjoy Bingo, a cakewalk, Silent Auction, Music, Food and friends. Enjoy a wonderful fun even at an old-fashioned grange.
It's Potato Bar this Friday at the Senior Center, head on down to enjoy a warm lunch and friendship.
Winlock Timberland Regional Library will host Page Turners for adults on Friday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. This will be the holiday session, a potluck will take place. The book is "Bossy Pants" by Tina Fey. It's a day of time of eating and reading.
