Winlock has had its share of bad news lately; we have lost some great people that are too young to be leaving us. I was out of town when I got the news about Ms. Swofford, Mr. Bryan and Mr. Hughes, three young people taken from us too early. I remember playing baseball and our coach was Bob Swofford. His daughter was a few years younger than I was and she was always full of life. Our hearts go out to the Hughes, Bryan and Swofford families.
In this week’s "Get to know ya" series, I had the pleasure of talking to Paul Blum. Paul has been working on our vehicles every since I can remember. He does the work we can’t do and his prices are always reasonable and then some. My husband is from Seattle and has never trusted a mechanic until he met Paul. Paul is one of the good guys, the guy who will help you no matter what the situation is. Winlock has been blessed for so many years with a guy like him. I would trust Paul no only with my car but also with my life. His sound judgment is what makes him such a great guy. I am sure if you have met Paul, you know what I am talking about. His answers were exactly what you would expect; he is a family man and a community man. Thank you Paul for always being there for everyone in the community, you are truly one in a million.
