The Winlock Timberland Library will be holding a poetry contest next month and writers of all ages are welcome to participate.
In celebration of April as National Poetry Month, entries will be accepted between April 1 and 15 in four age categories (19 and older, 13-18, 8-12, and 7 and under). Winners in each category will be selected by a panel of judges then published in a special issue of Town Crier.
Contest rules include:
- Each entrant can submit up to three poems.
- Poems must have a title and must not exceed 30 lines and 200 words (excluding title).
- Poems must be the original work of the entrant.
It is not necessary to have a Timberland library card to enter. For more information, including complete contest rules, contact the library at (360) 785-3461, or www.TRL.org, or visit their location at 322 NE First St., in Winlock.
