Winlock Egg Day celebrates 100 years

This year Winlock Egg Day celebrates its 100th Anniversary. The event was originally named Winlock Poultry and Egg Day by Otis Roundtree and continues to this day as a fun weekend. Many of the previous residents and graduates come back for Egg Day. It is the Winlock homecoming for many. This year's events begin on Friday and continue into Saturday. The events are as follows: Kimberly's Coffee and Things Reopening, Friends of the Winlock Library Book Sale Egg Day Royal Coronation Saturday, June 19th First Street Pinball and Arcade (with arts and crafts) Next to the club Parking Fundraiser - The Egg Day Scramble Winlock Custom Car Show Registration at 8:00 a.m. DJ Music Egg Day 100th Anniversary Parade 11:00 a.m. Winlock Food Bank Thrift Store, on the corner of First & Fir St. location of the Free Egg Salad Sandwiches being offered after the Parade (until they're gone) Winlock Historical Museum Open from 10:00 a.m. to 2+ p.m. Lewis County Fire District 15 Open House & Safety Fair beginning after the parade. Come visit your Firefighters and learn about Fire Safety at 609 NW Kerron St. Vendors Winlock Dance Center Amusement Magic Show Winlock Dance Center Boss Hogg's BBQ & Catering 109 E. Walnut St. a family-run business that offers true southern style smoked foods. Throughout the day they'll be offering Family Egg Day entertainment to include Live Music.
