The Winlock middle School Band performed at the annaul regional district Middle School Band contest sponsored by the Southwest Washington Music Educators Association (SWWMEA) on March 13. Eighteen bands from our region participated in the adjudicated event. Scores were given to each band from the three judges. After performing for the judges, the band was given a special clinic by one of the judges to improve their playing. Participating middle schools from our SWWMEA region included Rochester, Castle Rock, Mt. Solo, Cascade, Chehalis, Moticello, Centralia, Rainier, Huntington, Tenino, Napavine, Alaska, Kalama, Coweeman, Raymond and Winlock.
