The Third and Duryea streets sidewalks are almost all cleaned. The city’s planters are weeded and full of flowers, thanks to the Willapa Hills Garden Club. Many thanks to all the businesses that have embraced the vision of a cleaner city and have cleaned their sidewalks and landscaped areas.

The Tourist Information Center has been pressure washed, and is ready for paint or stain – to be determined. A special thank you to the city and its crew for working hard in support of this project. Thank you also to the student volunteers: Josh Bowe for pressure washing and Miesha Danford for weeding. Also, a big thank you to Bridgewater Logging for their help.

The environment is quite unique and beautiful, surrounded by the Willapa Hills and Willapa Bay. There are parks, interesting statues and colorful planters all around. Sprucing up the city will express the pride in the community.

The city is still in need of volunteers to help with pressure washing, weeding, and general cleanup. This is a great opportunity for students to earn their community service hours. Donations are gladly accepted. There is much to do and more improvements to be made. Call Senja Antilla at 360-580-5036. Show your support for the community by helping to beautify Raymond.

The city workers will be periodically sweeping the streets.
