The Vader City Council has voted to continue garbage services through Jeff Cummins, resolving uncertainty left when the council postponed renewal of his contract last month to explore recycling service options. The renewed contract is expected to include a recycling option of $5 per month for those wishing to take part, which Cummins said will be offered after the end of the next billing cycle. Officials reported a contract for garbage and recycling service from LeMay had been comparable, but officials said they wished to honor Cummins' previous commitments to the city.
