Two fires were reported in the Winlock area this past weekend. The fire departments of Winlock, Toledo, Vader and Napavine were on scene for the fires.

On Friday, June 4, at 3:30 p.m. a fire broke out on McGlaughlin Rd. The fire consumed two sheds, two RV's and heavily damaged a secondary residence while minor damage was done to the primary residence. The fire department was able to protect the primary residence. The gentleman living at the home was safe as was another occupant.

Then on Saturday, June 5, at 8:23 a.m. another fire broke out, this time on Nikula Rd. The fire destroyed a detached garage and threatened the primary residence. The garage and its contents were considered a total loss. All occupants were reported safe.
