The Toledo girls are in a tough stretch of their Trico League schedule and will only get tougher in the next week.
On Tuesday they hosted Ilwaco and performed admirably against the fourth-place team in the Trico League but fell short in a 49-40 loss. The Lady Fishermen jumped out to a 10-0 lead, but once Toledo found their wings, they played nearly seven the rest of the game. This was a far performance from the 64-34 loss at Ilwaco back on Dec. 19.
Chaselin Rice scored 15 points and gathered 12 rebounds while sister Casee Rice added 14 points.
On Friday evening, the Lady Indians suffered a rather forgettable 53-19 Trico League loss to Kalama. Chaselin Rice led Indian scoring with seven points.
Toledo is 5-13 on the season and, at 5-11, is currently in seventh place in the Trico League. They will finish up the season at Stevenson on Tuesday and at Castle Rock on Friday.
