Tales of the Lion's Den

We would like to thank the following businesses:

* Ky Han owner of the Hwy 101 Quick Stop was the first of many contributors by allowing the Lions to place the Paper Shack on the corner of his property, which is very visible to Hwy 101 and Hwy 6. Ky was kind enough to attend the Planning Commission meeting with me. Dick Anderson Construction leveled the ground.

• Mike Runyan of Hawk's Superior Rock covered the area with rock and gravel.

• George Bridgewater Logging and his crew took care of the lifting of the paper shack and arranged for Chris Johnson Crane Service to actually lift the paper shack onto the trailer and set it perfectly on the new site.

• Thanks also to Todd Oatfield of Willapa Log, who supplied the trailer and his office manager, Colleen Vaughn, and her husband, who took care of the highway trip permit and piloting the oversized load from the old to the new location.

• And then of course the volunteer Lions who came out to make sure the support blocks were moved and in the right location at the site.

• We would also like to thank Dean Parsons and Scott Pearson at the City of Raymond and Chief of Police Chuck Spoor, who took care of having the Police day shift aware of the move for any traffic control problems.

For a One Time, Never Been Done before project, it went VERY smooth.
