Shoalwater Bay Police Chief also endorses McClain

"The endorsement from every police department in Pacific County shows there is a need for change and that change is not merely to prosecute serious violent offenders, but also to be the legal adviser to the County," said Chief Souvenir. "When we needed to get an important agreement in place to promote public safety and response, it languished for month after month without action, but Mark was given the task and it was completed."
The agreement authorized Tribal Officers to act as Washington State Peace Officers on the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation, which reduced response times to calls on the reservation because Tribal Officers could now address non-Indian matters. This allowed the sheriff deputies to respond to other calls of service, dramatically increasing response time for community members in need and expanding the number of emergency responders.
"Allowing our Department to support the Sheriff's Office, helps the community and it was Mark who took action to get the agreement done, and done right; without Mark's efforts I believe this agreement would have taken much longer," said Chief Souvenir.
"I have never endorsed someone for public office, but I cannot stand by without lending my voice and experience to the overwhelming number of other community leaders and law enforcement officers asking our community to support Mark McClain for Prosecutor," Chief Souvenir added.
