The snow is gone (or the first one, in case there’s more before this gets printed) and it’s not nearly as cold. Beautiful foggy mornings, partly sunny days: not too shabby for this time of year. I have family driving and flying here for Christmas, so I hope they don’t run into any travel problems.
The "It’s a Wonderful Life" in Ryderwood Christmas Party has not happened by the time of this writing, but I’m certain a fantastic time was had by all. I plan to have a delicious burger at the Café and then go across the street and enjoy dessert at the party.
The Women’s Club ladies are busy this week getting ready for the Cheer Bag delivery this coming Saturday. They will wrap and pack on Wednesday morning in Community Hall. The hayride will head out around 3 p.m. to deliver Holiday Cheer to 25 Town residents. I hear the wagon is now covered, which could be nice if it rains. The Elves will return to the Café in time for the monthly Town Potluck.
The Chehalis Youth Orchestra will perform in Ryderwood this Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Auditorium. I heard that it’s a violin concert, but I’m not sure about that. It is a free concert and anyone and everyone in the area is invited to attend. The Social Club will provide refreshments following the event.
There will also be an Ice Cream Social and Card Bingo that day at 6 p.m. Come join the fun! Sign up early for the Christmas Day Community Dinner.
There will be a candlelight service at Ryderwood’s Community Church at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve with refreshments to follow. It is such a lovely church and it’s all dressed up for the Season. All are welcome.
