This is a busy week at Pioneer Hall for some of the ladies in Town. The Women’s Club Luncheon and Meeting is on Wednesday the 13th at noon. It will be a “White Elephant” Auction and a good place to part with some no-longer needed items. The next day the Red Hat Ladies will gather at 2 p.m. Both events will, no doubt, include making Holiday plans that include the Holiday Cheer Bag project in December.
The Social Club’s monthly Town Potluck with Meeting will start at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Café. With all the great cooks in this Town, you won’t get a better meal anywhere. Some stay after and play cards and games. All are welcome.
Before you know it, Thanksgiving will be here and the frenzy leading up to Christmas kicks into high gear. It could be a big shock when you turn the calendar over on December 1st to find that there are only 3 more weekends before Christmas. Fortunately, I don’t need to do much shopping in stores, but maybe this information will prepare some who do.
Friday’s Café Dinner will be Spaghetti and Made-From-Scratch Sauce with everything from beverage, salad and dessert for $8. Call Linda at 295-0875 to make a reservation. Nutrition Lunch on the 19th will include Roast Turkey and Pumpkin Pie for Thanksgiving. Call Jan at 295-0597 for reservations. See you there!
Christmas Party plans are under way for Sunday December 22nd. Youth Orchestra Chehalis will perform a program titled “Christmas Day in the Morning” at 4 p.m. in the Auditorium. A Christmas Party will follow in the Dining Room. Expect Santa Claus, Door Prizes, Music and Potluck Finger Foods. More info to follow.
