As this dry spell continues, please use extreme caution with anything that has to do with fire. That means everything from the slightest flicker to cigarette butts to open flames. Everything is tinder dry. If that sounds or looks familiar, it’s a repeat of last week’s intro. The conditions have not improved, so please continue to heed the warnings.
This Thursday has the Red Hat ladies gathering at Pioneer Hall at 2 p.m. Sharon and Mary will “host-e-ess-ess” the afternoon’s festivities. Call Carol at 295-8307 for information.

This is “music weekend” at the Café. Saturday night at 7 p.m. is “Acoustic Saturday Night” with host Paul Van Dyck at the piano. Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. will be Karaoke with Sherry. Both evenings are full of fun and fine music. Come early on Monday and enjoy a burger and / or soup. Ice cream sundaes are $1!

Meanwhile, it’s almost Garage Sale time again. It will be the weekend of Aug. 23rd & 24th from 8 to 4 each day. The Women’s Club will be working diligently from now on getting ready for their big sale and the list of home sales has already started. Call me if you want you address on the Garage Sale map.
