It's Ryderwood's Spring Craft Fair Countdown! Friday & Saturday, May 15 & 16, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. A huge variety of hand-crafted items will provide a fantastic shopping experience! Many of our local artisans display their works nowhere else.
Most Vendors and "Grandma's Bake Sale" will be in Community Hall, with additional Vendors and the Quilt Display up the street in Pioneer Hall. Meanwhile, the Veterans will serve jumbo hot dogs, chili and baked potatoes at the Café from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Following Friday's action, plan to visit the Café for their Craft Fair Special of Reuben Sandwich with Potato Salad and Beverage. Served from 4-6 p.m. (no reservations required) for $7. All visiting vendors a shoppers are welcome!
After the Craft Fair on Saturday, the Social Club will hold its monthly Town Potluck and meeting at the Café. The Potluck starts at 5 p.m. with a brief business meeting after. Some stay to play cards if they're not too tired. This is a great place for new folks to meet and greet their neighbors.
Monday has Karaoke at the Café following the delicious burgers (1/3 lb. beef, chicken or veggie) and home made soup from 4-6. The gatherings for Karaoke as well as Open Mic on the second Saturday evenings have been very good, with several visitors and participants from out of town. This town does have a love affair with music!
The Senior Nutrition menu for Tuesday the 19th is Chicken Burritos with beans & rice, fiesta veggies and tropical fruit salad. Again, this is a great place for newcomers to meet their neighbors. And get a great meal for a $3 suggested donation. Call me at 295-3813 or Jan at 295-0597 to make or break reservations. Take-outs and substitutions are available with advance notice.
Hope to see you at the Craft Fair!
