March seems to be all about green: St. Patrick’s Day is all about “the wearin’ of the green”; the green grass is growing, which means there will be mowing; and the bright green foliage of the spring bulbs is popping up everywhere. With Daylight Saving Time and the Spring Equinox coming next week, we’re on our way to warmer weather. Gardeners might want to visit the 40th Annual Home & Garden Show at the SW Washington Fairgrounds in Chehalis March 22, 23, & 24.
This week: the Women’s Club luncheon meeting Wednesday will feature folding up pieces of paper to make origami cranes. The next day, Thursday, the Red Hat ladies meet at 2 p.m. in Pioneer Hall. They will plan where to go on their next Outing on March 28.
Friday night’s menu at the Café is Pot Roast with all the trimmings. Call Linda at 295-0875 to make your reservations ASAP. (This Social Club project provides a service to the community while providing funds to operate and maintain the building.)
The next Ice Cream Social & Card Bingo will be this Sunday. Card Bingo players might “share” up to $2.60 with friends and neighbors. (That’s 4 nickels, 4 dimes, 4 quarters, a dollar and then it's over.)
Tuesday’s (the 19th) Sr. Nutrition Luncheon will be Spaghetti w/ Meat Sauce, Caesar Salad, Garlic Bread & Berry Cobbler. Call Jan at 295-0597 by Monday afternoon to make reservations.
The CPR Class at the Ryderwood Fire Hall is scheduled for Saturday March 23 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Call Ellis at 295-3320 to see if there is still room for participants. There will be no charge for Ryderwood residents though a donation is requested.
