This is a busy week for the ladies in and around town. The Women's Club holds their monthly salad luncheon meeting on Wednesday at noon in Pioneer Hall. Then on Thursday, the Red Hat ladies gather for fun and games at 2 p.m. also in Pioneer Hall.
Friday night's dinner at the Café will feature Russ' Chicken Steak Marinara. As usual, a Beverage, Salad and Dessert are always included for $9. Reservations are required and need to be made by 6 p.m. Wednesday - Call Linda at (360) 295-0875.
Saturday night is Open Mic at the Café. This occurs every second Saturday at 7 p.m. with a variety of local and area musicians there to entertain an appreciative audience. The evening often ends with a jam of everyone who comes.
Sunday has Card Bingo as the next opportunity to share loose change with friends and neighbors. It is a game that requires zero skill and luck is the only factor determining the winners.
Monday has burgers at the Café from 4 to 6 p.m. The burgers - beef, chicken or veggie - are cooked to perfection and served with all the trimmings, including grilled onions if desired. Come out and enjoy!
Tuesday's Senior Nutrition meal will be Turkey Tetrazzini with mixed veggies and Jell-o Salad. I'm guessing it may be green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. For a $3 donation, the meals are a real bargain for those over 60 years of age. Call me at (360) 295-3813 or (360) 355-7315 to make or break reservations.
It's time to start planning for Ryderwood's Spring Arts & Crafts Fair and Quilt Display coming up the third weekend of May. Applications have been mailed and emailed (the correct dates are May 15 & 16!). Norma at (360) 295-3672 is the contact person.
Applications are also available at "The Nest", Ryderwood's own gift shop. I heard from a recent visitor how impressed she was with the variety and quality of items offered. It really is worth a trip out to the end of the road to find special "made in Ryderwood" gift items. The hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Have a great week!
