As the shortest month of the year comes to a close, it means the next VFW Town Breakfast is coming up soon. That will be this Saturday morning, March 1, from 8-10 a.m. They have expanded the menu a bit and now you can get sausage or ham with your meal. The same great biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs how you like ‘em – orange juice and bottomless coffee are always included.
Friday night’s Café dinner is Nancy’s Vegetarian Lasagna, with salad, sides, beverage and dessert included. Call Linda at (360) 295-0875 to make or break reservations.
It’s official: the price for the Senior Nutrition meals is now $3 each. And guess what? It’s still the best bargain around! I don’t have the menu for the next month yet, so can’t let you know what is being served on March 4. Since it’s the first Tuesday of the month, a wonderful foursome of Castle Rock students will be here to assist with the meal. Also, bring enough to buy chances to win the 50-25-25 raffle to benefit Meals on Wheels.
Sunday has another Ice Cream Social and Card Bingo on the calendar. Ice cream and cake are served at 6 p.m. with Card Bingo starting about 6:30 p.m.. This is in Community Hall and the core group would love to see some new faces.
