Roundtable to discuss how learning prevents crime

The report highlights significant research documenting the impact of quality early childhood programs on crime reduction.

The law enforcement leaders will also discuss how providing high-quality early learning will help Washington comply with the State Supreme Court’s McCleary decision requiring the state to fulfill its paramount duty to amply provide for the education of all Washington children.

The law enforcement leaders will be joined by Senator Brian Hatfield (D-Raymond) and Representative Brian Blake (D-Aberdeen).

Offering their expertiese will be Pacific County Sheriff Scott Johnson, Raymond Police Chief Chuck Spoor, South Bend Police Chief Dave EasthamShoalwater Bay Police Chief Robin Souvenir, Representative Brian Blake, Senator Brian Hatfield, Pacific County Undersheriff Todd Fosse, and Pacific County Prosecutor David Burke.

Law enforcement members will be in uniform reading to children.
