Remember to turn in ballots by Aug. 6

This will be our last issue before the results of the 2013 Primary Election are announced and Town Crier would like our readers to remember to turn in their ballots by Aug. 6.

Ballots must be postmarked by then or can be dropped off at the Lewis County Historic Courthouse (351 NW North St., Chehalis) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. during weekdays and between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Election Day; as well as the Twin Cities Senior Center (2545 N. National Ave., Chehalis) 24 hours per day or until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

This year, our readers in Winlock are being asked to narrow down a list of three mayoral hopefuls to two and candidates Denise Green, Don Bradshaw and Lonnie J. Dowell are all hoping for your votes.

The results of the election are expected to be published by the Lewis County Elections Office at 8 p.m. Aug. 6 at vote.wa.gov/results/current/lewis/. For more information, call the Elections Office at (360) 740-1278.
