Coming from Ridgefield, Wash., Lane visited with members of the Willapa Harbor Quilters and their guests for a trunk show of Lane’s quilts November 19. Lane showed about 20 quilts – including one called Petal Pie – all featured in the book.
Lane had to complete the quilts in a very short period of time too meet the publication deadline. She told the group that in one day alone, she longarm-quilted five of the quilts – no small accomplishment.
Following her talk, about 25 people, including several Grays Harbor Master Quilters, shared lunch of cabbage stew, prepared by Arlyn Harris, and rosemary bread, made by Lonna Nevil.
Sharon Wolfe arranged the program.
