PUBLIC SERVICE-COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Mason County Commissioners will hold a public hearing via call in conference phone by dialing 253-215-8782 entering Meeting ID 872-2319-8850 and Passcode 537464 on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 9:15 AM.

The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV1), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons residing in the Mason and Lewis County area.

Up to $597,614 may be available annually to the Cities and Counties to fund CDBG public services and local microenterprise assistance programs; and public health, emergency response, or temporary housing facilities that address COVID-19 impacts. All CDBG funded activities must benefit low-and moderate-income persons or meet the CDBG urgent need national objective criteria.

An overview of the proposed activities is available for review on Mason County's website at www.co.mason.wa.us. Comments may also be submitted in writing to DLZ@co.mason.wa.us or the Mason County Commissioners, 411 N. 5th Street, Shelton, WA 98584. Comments will be accepted until August 24, 2020.
