People’s Choice Photo Show at Labor Day festival

The Willapa Heritage Foundation would like to invite you to participate in the 2013 People’s Choice Photo Show. This year the show will be held during Come and Play On Labor Day in South Bend Saturday, August 31 through Sunday, September 1 at 900 Robert Bush Drive in South Bend.

The rules for entry are printed below. Please read carefully.

1. All entries must be original photographs taken by the contributor.

2. Entries will be accepted at the South Bend Library beginning August 15 through August 30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays during regular business hours. Entries can also be dropped off on Friday, August 30 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at 900 Robert Bush Drive.

3. Each exhibitor is limited to 1 entry per category, with a max of 3 entries.

The categories include Black and white, color and digitally altered original photo.

4. All entries must have your name, phone number, address and the classification to which they belong on the back of the photograph.

5. All entries must be framed and ready for hanging. We have no way to display unframed pieces, and they will not be accepted for the show.

6. Entries will be released on Sunday, September 1 and need to be picked up at 900 Robert Bush Drive between at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Arrangements can be made in advance to pick up photos at a different time. Photos not picked up will become the property of the Willapa Heritage Foundation and sold at the 2014 Hearts for the Arts auction.

Photographers will have their work admired, the public will vote and winners will be announced on Sunday, September 1. Winners in each classification will receive a $20 cash award.
