Department, Federal Department of Homeland Security and FEMA are teaming up to conduct a Local/State/Regional Cascadia Subduction Zone Exercise in June 2016.
In order to prepare for this exercise, The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency would like to solicit input from its partners and stakeholders to determine the extent of interest in local agency participation in this exercise. Two meetings will take place, including Tuesday, April 8th from 10 am until noon in the EOC at the Public Safety Building in South Bend, and from 1:30 to 3:30 pm in the EOC in the South County Administration Building in Long Beach.
Topics to be discussed will include:
· General CSZ background
· Scope of the exercise
· Costs and potential funding
· Levels of participation
· Other questions
Information gathered at these meetings will then be discussed at the April PCEMA Council Meeting on April 10, 9 a.m. at the Commissioner’s Meeting Room in South Bend.
