A round of phone scammers are targeting the Grays Harbor County area again. The district court has received numerous calls from citizens who have received calls or emails claiming to be from the county and also claiming that they owed money. Courts do not call and request payments or card information ever.
Studded tires need to be removed by March 31. With the arrival of spring the Washington State Department of Transportation would like to remind everyone to switch their studded tires with a more road-friendly version.
Aberdeen's Dukes Of Swing will be holding their monthly dance at the Aberdeen Elks Lodge, 1712 S. Boone St. in Aberdeen on Thursday March 31. Dancing is from 7PM - 9PM. The dance is free, and all are welcome!
There will be a ribbon cutting at the New McCleary Health Care Center on April 1, at 3pm and the event will go until 5pm.
There will be an indoor community garage sale held at the Elma Grange on April 1 and April 2 starting at 9am and going until 5pm. Vendors will be present and money from food sales goes to a local scholarship fund.
Daughters of the American Revolution Robert Gray Chapter will meet at the Hoquiam Methodist Church corner of the 5th & L St. Hoquiam on Thursday April 7. Speaker will be Peggy Goldenman on Ellis Island. Please bring sack lunch ,meeting at 12:00. Visitors welcome.
Grays Harbor Genealogy Society will meet Saturday April 9 upstairs at the Hoquiam Timberland Library. Program is the Marcum Cemetery by Daryl Graham. Meeting starts at 10:00 am. Visitors are welcome.
