Multitude of elected positions soon open for filing

A number of local cities and special purpose districts have several positions open for the November General Election, and the timeline to file for candidacy is coming up soon.

Between May 11 and 15, all residents legally qualified to run for such positions will be able to file with their county's Auditor's Office, either in person or online, while filings by mail are being accepted at this time until May 15, but will not be processed until May 11.

Listed below are the open positions within each community (as well as corresponding term lengths), according to information published by local Auditor's Offices. Positions with more than two candidates filed at the end of May 15 will proceed to the Aug. 4 Primary Election to narrow the field down to no more than two individuals. Otherwise, candidates for each position will be determined during the Nov. 3 General Election.
