PACIFIC COUNTY -- In an effort to help organizations, groups and individuals who are looking for a little extra funding for events and activities that reduce intergenerational poverty in North Pacific County, Willapa Community Network has released the application for their 2016 Mini-Grants. Mini-Grants range from $200-$1,000 dollars and anyone may apply, including student groups.
The focus of the grant is to reduce intergenerational poverty in our community, particularly with parenting education, food programs, early childhood development, substance abuse and teen pregnancy prevention, and family enrichment. In the past, Mini-Grants have been awarded for programs like Growing Together Community Garden, Summer Reading Program at Raymond Timberland Library, Children's Summer Theater, and Boys and Girls Club.
The mission of Willapa Community Network is to enhance quality of life in North Pacific County by encouraging communication and collaboration among service providers, businesses, and volunteers in order to enhance the leveraging of resources and services in our community.
