Kudos to Cassandra Cooper, Ravenel Bisbee, Mary Jane Doubek, Kathy and Arthur Zeigler, and Lee Knot for bringing to our neighborhood a wonderful event acquainting us with the dangers found in foods using Monsanto’s genetically engineered seeds and herbicides. It was held at our Public Market on Saturday, May 25, in conjunction with a global Monsanto and GMO Awareness Day. There were educational speakers, informational booths, and a short march from the market to McDonalds. For our health and welfare, it is important to learn about bio-engineered foods and to get them labeled. We have the right to know what foods we are consuming so that we can make an educated choice.
