A native of Astoria, she was born January 3, 1920, the daughter of Martin and Elice Peterson. Lorraine was raised in Skamakowa and was a graduate of Cathlamet High School.
She married Ben Macy and the couple made their first home in Nemah, Washington prior to moving to Chinook. Lorraine was proud of her Native American heritage. She enjoyed walks on the beach, mowing her lawn, gardening, cutting her own firewood and spoiling her pets and grandchildren.
Lorraine is survived by her sister, Loretta Benefiel, of Longview; daughter, Bernadette Kinsfather, of Kenai, Alaska; granddaughters Melinda (Kevin) McNulty of Chinook and Tracee Macy of Aberdeen; grandsons Brian (Wendy) Macy of Nemah and Derek (Dani) Kinsfather of Kenai, Alaska; great-grandchildren Sheena Vandermeulen, Sean McNulty, Allen Schlesser, Drew Macy, Rebecca Riekkola, Rylee Riekkola and Alexa Kinsfather; great-great-grandchildren Blake Finlay, Hannah Schlesser, Braden and Colten Vandermeulen, and Brady Schlesser.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ben Macy, son, Martin “Benny” Macy, daughter-in-law, Jackie Macy, brother, Vincil Peterson, son-in-law, Jack Kinsfather, and her great-grandson, Kyle Schlesser.
