Mariners and landlubbers alike can watch as Santa arrives on one of several boats scheduled for the lighted boat parade that starts at 5 p.m. His arrival will be followed by a tree lighting ceremony by Davis Insurance (915 Robert Bush Drive) at 6pm. That's where Santa can be found by kids of all ages for the usual visits and lists.
Look for the lights. Listen for carolers, too. Smell the fresh fir tree. Take in the Christmas spirit in every sense.
But, as they say: There's more!
Just a block from Davis Insurance, a Christmas bazaar will feature half a dozen vendors in the dining room at 101 Public House. “It's too cold to have the bazaar outside,” said Aimee Ward from 101 Public House and co-organizer for the parade and event. Check out sale prices: 25 percent off toys, stocking stuffers, jewelry and more in the holiday sale in the gift shop at 101 Public House.
101 Public House also will feature a Christmas cheer special – cranberry poached pears with whipped cream, for $3.50 – during the bazaar. Neighboring Elixir Coffee Shop will have cocoa and coffee specials for the occasion.
Mark your calendar for this holiday special focusing on Christmas cheer and good will, while featuring boats and vendors unique to our area.
Anyone interested in joining the parade or vending at the bazaar should contact Russ Ward at 503-544-1150 or Aimee Ward at 360-550-6273.
