An awards banquet was held last Friday, April 22, to honor local law enforcement and public safety officers who made a positive difference in making Lewis County roads safer in 2015.
The dinner banquet was attended by over 60 people and represented several public safety agencies from Lewis County. The banquet was sponsored by State Farm and The Center for Defensive Driving, with Ritchie Brothers graciously allowing use of their facility for the event.
Mike Turcott, Washington Traffic Safety Commission Region III Target Zero Manager, organized the event.
Darrin Grondel, Director of the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, was the keynote speaker and discussed the challenges and goals of the Washington Traffic Safety Commission during 2015 and looking forward.
