LaVeryl H. Taylor, 92, died on January 14, 2013, in Washington. She was born March 28, 1920 to Algot and Adeline (Inglin) Carlson in Aberdeen, Wash. She had two sisters, both deceased, June Bougslog and Vernice Grissom. Their dad died in a sawmill accident in 1932. He had volunteered to work a double shift on Thanksgiving eve in order to buy Christmas gifts for his family.
Soon after, the family moved to Frances. She graduated from Lebam High School in 1938. She played the cello, violin and piano. In 1939. she married Arthur Taylor and had three children, Donna Osborne and Kenneth and Mark Taylor.
She worked for the Boeing Company for 34 years, was a Husky and Mariner fan and was a member of the Lewis-Pacific Swiss Society and the Swedish Cultural Center (Seattle). She liked to go dancing and to travel.
She is survived by her three children, six grandchildren and great grandchildren. She did not want to be called grandma, so to the latter she is called Boo Boo, after Boo Boo Bear.
There are no planned services. A memorial donation can be made to the Pacific County Historical Society and Museum, of which she was a member, Box P, South Bend, WA 98586.
