These meetings are part of a strategic planning process that the Chamber is working on at this time.
Chamber President Mike Morris would like to invite the public to these workshops in an effort to get as much input as possible from the community.
“We feel that it is time to evaluate who we are as a Chamber and if we are even a Chamber of Commerce any longer,” Morris said. “I hope that we can get a wide and diverse group to help us provide solutions to three goals that were previously established. The last meeting produced great dialog and ideas.”
Morris identified these goals as Public Perception, Sustainability and Tourism. Morris added, “I hope that community leaders and just plain interested people from all across Willapa Harbor can find an hour in their day to come to these meetings and help be part of our effort. This process isn’t just about businesses getting together, it is about individuals who care about our community coming together to help make Willapa Harbor stronger and more vibrant!”
The next meeting will be held at noon on June 10 at the Community Center in South Bend and will deal with Sustainability. The final scheduled work session will be on July 8.
