Pacific County Prosecutor, and PUD Commissioner.
I will vote for both Mark McClain (Prosecutor) and Mike Swanson (PUD Commissioner).
County Prosecutor:
I have spoken with Mark McClain, I believe Mark has the technical, organizational skills, and more important the energy and wiliness to carry out his responsibility as the chief legal officer for Pacific County. Mark is a part of our community, and I believe he has the vision of our community in his heart.
The current prosecutor has failed to accomplish his fiduciary duty as chief legal representative for prosecution of the laws in Pacific County. He not only failed to accomplish his job to act upon the wrong doing of the PUD employees in a timely manner, but other notable cases in Pacific County. I don't believe he will change; we will just have four more years of the same poor performance if he is re-elected.
PUD Commissioner:
During the investigation of the PUD's management in 2013-2014, it became very apparent that Mike Swanson was the only commissioner who was acting in good faith for the ratepayers in Pacific County. Mike is looking after our best interests, not his own self-interest. We have a large number of low-income residents in Pacific who cannot afford their electric bills, and the constant push by the other two commissioners to increase electric rates. Mike Swanson is the only commissioner fighting to hold our electric bills down.
I ask the Pacific County voters to consider my reasons for supporting these two well-qualified candidates. I hope you can join me in supporting them.
