Harrington is a professor in the Department of Geography at Kansas State University and has actively contributed to the Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences Secondary Major at Kansas State. His research interests lie in the area of climate science, global change, the coupling of social and natural systems, geographic education, and the application of GIScience to natural resource management.
