Center. This probably would have been a major calamity since it occurred after hours, but thanks to
several very helpful and cooperative individuals, repairs are being made and our Center continues to
operate as normal.
We would like to thank the City of Raymond Water Dept. crew which came immediately once our
Riverview staff called. Their quick response most likely saved our building from further damage.
We also worked with two Pacific County PUD employees, Bill Roberts and Nathan Milton, who arrived
promptly and patiently stayed until they were certain that power was turned off throughout the areas
affected by the water leak. They really were instrumental in ensuring the safety of our building, so our
crew could begin almost immediately salvaging equipment, mopping up water and start making
repairs.
Although several of the rooms have now been gutted, the Riverview Education Center is operational
and open during our regular hours, thanks to the great City and PUD crews plus our own GHC
maintenance staff. All classes are taking place as scheduled and student support services are available.
We look forward to welcoming you to Riverview for our annual Summer Expo on Saturday, May 31, 11
a.m. to 3 p.m.
