Gary was born in Seattle, Washington February 24, 1935 and died in Olympia, Washington on May 5, 2013. He graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle and attended the University of Washington. Gary was a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways for 40 years. He was married to Joan Arp in 1958 until her death in 1992, and then he was married 20 years to Ila (Becky) Baird Vango who survives, he is survived by his children: Venetia Vango and Yvonne Griffith of Renton, Washington, Kurt Vango of Winlock, and his grandsons, Joshua, Jarrett and Jamie.
